Despite subjecting Rihanna to physical abuse when they were still together more than eight years ago, Chris Brown is supposedly hoping that his former flame will find in her heart to truly forgive him.
According to reports, Brown is hoping that Rihanna would watch his Netflix documentary titled "Chris Brown: Welcome to My Life." Reportedly, the actor believes that, once his former girlfriend sees the said documentary, she will realize how much he has changed for the better.
"Chris is pretty sure that Rihanna has not seen the film yet, and he hopes that once she watches it, she will better understand how much he has grown, changed and matured since their relationship," revealed an insider of Hollywood Life.
The incognito source of the celebrity gossip website also went to reveal that Brown is not exactly hoping that the "Umbrella" singer will come running back to him once she has realized that he has changed. However, allegedly, Brown hopes that once his ex-girlfriend makes the realization, she will start to truly forgive him so that they can create healthier memories together again.
However, if other sources are to be believed, Brown's desire to make Rihanna realize that he has changed may be more than just letting bygones be bygones and allowing the past to bury its dead. Allegedly, the "With You" singer believes that he and Rihanna are soulmates and even felt the pulse of their common friends as he asked them if they could see him and his ex-flame together again.
"Chris has never gotten over Rihanna, and he says he never will. She's the standard he holds all other women to, and he still misses her and thinks about her pretty much every day," said another source of Hollywood Life in an earlier article this month.
To recall, Brown and Rihanna grabbed headlines in 2009 when the former assaulted the latter after a verbal dispute that supposedly stemmed from a text message Brown received from an unidentified woman, telling him to "hook up later on." Reportedly, Brown choked Rihanna and left her unconscious with swollen black eyes and even threatened to kill her.
Despite what happened, the two were reported to have reconciled in 2012 and were even spotted together watching an NBA game on Christmas day that year.
