Joe Lacob, the owner of the “light-years ahead” Golden State Warriors, decided during Game 1 the 2015 NBA Finals to move his children from their courtside seats so that Rihanna could be fortunate enough sit next to him. “Seat her next to the owner, it’s a nice thing to do,” Lacob later explained during a sports business panel.

Rihanna doesn’t open up much in public, so trying to determine the origins of her NBA fandom is a bit of a maze. This much is clear: LeBron James is her favorite player. This much also is clear: The rest of the NBA seems to look up to her more than vice versa.
